The United World College-USA is located in Montezuma, New Mexico, six miles (10 km) from Las
Vegas, New Mexico, 68 miles (109 km) from Santa Fe, and 123 miles (197 km) from Albuquerque, where
the closest major airport is located.
How to get to the UWC-USA
By Air:
Several major airlines, including America West, American, Continental, Delta, Mesa, Northwest,
Southwest, United and US Air fly into Albuquerque daily.
Driving Directions:
From Albuquerque, take I-25 north to Las Vegas.
Exit at the first Las Vegas exit #343 and turn left at end of ramp. Go .5 miles and take a left
onto New Mexico Avenue. (You will see a Santa Fe Railroad red caboose at the intersection.)
Go 1.9 miles. At the first traffic light (there will be an Allsup's convenience store on your
left), turn left again onto Hot Springs Boulevard (State Road #65) and continue 4.3 miles.
Turn right when you see the Montezuma Castle. The Montezuma Post Office will be on your right.
Please check in at the Moore Welcome Center when you arrive on campus.
Note for visitors
There are no guest facilities at the college or in Montezuma. However, there are hotels and motels
in nearby Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Please note that the United World College is a closed campus since it is the residential
community for our students and faculty families. For Admission Visits, please go to the Admission section (see the Related Links box). Periodic
tours of the Montezuma Castle are given by UWC students (see Related Links box).
